Provincial Prior  
E.Kt. Charles Aspinell

Charles was Initiated into Freemasonry in 1981 into Royal Gloucester Lodge No.130 in Southampton. He was WM in 1992 and then served as Secretary for five years. He was appointed a Provincial Grand Steward in 1994 and held several appointments within the Craft Province including Area Chairman for the South Central Area. He received Grand Rank in 2012 and Royal Arch Grand Rank in 2016.
He was Installed as a Knight Templar in 1998 in Excalibur Preceptory No 574 and was Registrar for many years before becoming Eminent Preceptor. He has been Head of the Order of the Secret Monitor within the Province as is currently Deputy Grand Supreme Ruler of this Order. He is active in all the Progressive and Select Orders within Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
He served nearly forty years in the Royal Naval Reserve including operations in Iraq and exercises in the Far East, Pacific and the Middle East. He is a Commander in the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem in the Grand Priory of England and Wales.
Charles is married to Pamela, has three children and four grandchildren. He is the Administration Manager for DP World Southampton, who operate the Container Terminal. He is a regular skier, a watcher of sport and enjoys walking his Labrador, Bentley.

 


JMitchellSub Prior: E.Kt. Julian Mitchell

 

Julian was initiated into Sojourners Lodge No 7597 which meets at the Knole, Bournemouth in March 1995 and was Master in 2000 and again in 2012, exalted into Unity Royal Arch Chapter No 132, which meets at Christchurch in 1996 and was 1st Principal in 2006. He was installed into Knights Templar in 2002 at Sepulchre Preceptory No. 27 in Christchurch. He became Eminent Preceptor in 2008 and continued in office for a second year. In March 2011 he became Registrar of his Preceptory and in September 2011 he was invested as Provincial Registrar. In February 2013 he was invested as Provincial Vice-Chancellor. In 2018 he was appointed as Provincial Chancellor and that same year also became Great Herald. Is Sept 2019 he was installed as Provincial Sub-Prior.

Born and educated in Bournemouth, Julian has had a career in Telecommunications and IT and was the Technical Director and part owner of a telecommunications company based in Basingstoke. He was able to take early retirement in April 2013. He has been married to Ann since 1985 and they now live in Mere, Wiltshire with their Siamese cats. His hobbies include Skiing, Scuba Diving and riding his motorbike when he gets the opportunity

Vice-Chancellor: E.Kt. Ronald Wray

Ron was initiated into Freemasonry in Straid True Blue Lodge No. 276 in the Province of Antrim, Northern Ireland in 1989 becoming WM in 1999. Exalted into Sir Charles Cameron RAC No. 353 in Belfast in 1995 and serving 2 years as EK in 2008-9. Ron was installed into Knights Templar in 2004 in William Stuart Preceptory 76A becoming EP in 2011. He served as Provincial Swordbearer in 2015 and is honoured to have been appointed Provincial Registrar in 2016. Ron is currently the Technical Director for a Telecommunications Company based in Basingstoke and also a Commander in the Royal Navy Reserves serving in Portsmouth. He is married to Violet, since 1986 and they have three children who have flown the nest or are at University. In his spare time he enjoys golf, sailing, both cruisers and catamarans and occasionally gets to ride his motorbike around the lanes of Hampshire.

 

 


Martin ColleyProvincial Registrar  E.Kt. Martin Colley

Martin was initiated into Freemasonry in 1989 in Phoenix Lodge No 257 in Old Portsmouth, became Worshipful Master of that Lodge in 1999 and again in 2010 when the Lodge celebrated its 225th anniversary.In 1990 he was exalted into the Holy Royal Arch in the Chapter of Friendship No 257 in Old Portsmouth serving 2 years as MEZ in 2016-17. He was installed into the Knights Templar in 1994 in the Royal Naval Preceptory and Priory No 2 in Old Portsmouth and was Eminent Preceptor in 2007. Martin is a retired Dental Surgeon who spent 30 years in general practice and 10 years as a clinical teacher for Kings College London Dental Institute. He is married to Ann and has two daughters. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, travelling and looking after his two grandchildren.

 

 


JSouthwickVice Chancellor: V.E.Kt. Jeff Southwick

Initiated Southampton New Temple Lodge No 8131 in 1985. Served as WM in 1991 and 2014: also a PM of Twelve Brothers Lodge No785. Exalted into Hampshire Chapter of Emulation in 1987: MEZ in 2000. Appointed to Grand Rank in the Craft in 2003 and in the Royal Arch in 2016; has served on the Provincial Executive of both.

Installed into Royal Gloucester Preceptory in 1993; founding Frist Constable of Parsifal Preceptory and installed as EP in 1999. Has served very many years as a Preceptory Registrar, Deputy Marshal and Marshal. Appointed to Great Priory rank in 2008. In the Rectified Scottish Rite (very closely connected to KT) became WDM of Wessex Lodge of Scottish Masters in 2017 and was appointed to Grand Priory rank in 2019.

He and Anne have been married for 54 years and have three children, all now themselves married and having a total of seven children between them. Besides spending time with his family – including all the dogs! – he enjoys reading and listening to music
